The Colts new franchise quarterback

Jacoby Brissett has been sensational for the Indianapolis Colts this season. Brissett has started the 2019 NFL season with a touchdown to interception ratio of 13:4. This is what I expected out of Brissett.

At the beginning of the season, I actually wrote a piece on potential replacements for Ben Roethlisberger if Mason Rudolph is not the face of the franchise going forward. Jacoby made the list of possible replacements. Brissett has been set up for success in the NFL since being drafted by the Patriots in the 2016 NFL draft.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have to provide constant pressure on Jacoby Brissett. T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree could be the x-factors for the Steelers in week 9. I say this because I find Pittsburgh’s interior defensive linemen may struggle against their opposition led by the Colts Quenton Nelson.

Nelson is on his way to becoming one of the all-time greatest offensive linemen. It’ll be an intriguing matchup in the trenches. The Steelers secondary should look to shine throughout the contest on Sunday as well. Without T.Y. Hilton to deal with, their job simplifies. I see the secondary coming away with one interception if even that.

Predicted outcome

The week 9 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts should be stellar. Sadly, I find the Colts coming out on top by a slim margin. I predict Adam Vinatieri will kick his second game-winning field goal in the span of two weeks. This result would push the Steelers to a 3-5 record. Following this week, the Steelers will look to take on the loaded Los Angeles Rams. Now, let’s look at what the rest of the Still Curtain team predicted.
