Matt Feiler

Feiler came on the scene in 2018 after Marcus Gilbert suffered another injury-riddled season. He ended up filling in perfectly to keep the offensive line functioning at a high level all season.

In 2019, the Steelers traded Marcus Gilbert to Arizona and that opened the door for Feiler to earn the full-time starting role. He came into camp still having to battle with Chuks Okorafor for the job but he won out and became the starter.

He had a rough start to the season but, if we are being honest, so did the rest of the offensive line. He has since picked up his play to perform week in and out like a top offensive tackle.

Feiler’s match-up this week will likely be a lot of Myles Garrett. Garrett is an elite pass-rushing talent who now has 10 sacks in 2019, which is good for a tie for third in the league.

His pass-rush ability is one of the best Feiler will face all season. The Steelers are one of the league’s best this season in keeping their quarterback upright and Garrett is one of the best at bringing them down.

Feiler had a big matchup in Los Angeles against Joey Bosa, who is also an elite pass rusher, and held him to no sacks and no QB hits. Bosa has only failed to record a sack or QB hit in one other game this season so Feiler should be up to the task against Garrett.
