Steelers can win if defensively…

Though the offense was the low point, the Steelers defense, for the most part, was a higher point last Thursday night. However, they had some things to clean up of their own.

There were busted coverages, failure to contain, and missed tackles, to name a few. Baker Mayfield, a few times extended plays and broke contain out of the pocket to pick up a big first down and even got a late touchdown out of such a play.

The first score was set up after an extended play led to a third-down conversion followed by a busted coverage on a deep pass to OBJ–leading to the game’s first points.

The Steelers defense held their own most of the game after receiving no help from their offense, but those few plays mentioned alone put them in a tight spot. This goes without mentioning the fact the Browns missed two field goals.

This week, they simply have to dominate and get their swagger back. A Bengals offense without the likes of Andy Dalton and AJ Green should do the trick.

The defense needs to shut down the Bengals two-headed monster in Giovani Bernard and Joe Mixon. Their versatility in the pass and run game make them the deadliest weapons without AJ Green on the Field.

Tyler Eifert and Tyler Boyd are having solid years and will also present a challenge to the Steelers defense. They cannot afford to underestimate this bad Bengals team.

It’s very simple, play fundamentally sound football and don’t underestimate the Bengals offense. They will be prepared to pull all the tricks out of the bag to get their first win.
