5 most disappointing Steelers of the modern era

The Steelers boast several Hall of Fame players but also several disappointing players
For a franchise as storied as the Steelers, it’s not surprising that we have had several players over the decades whose careers culminated in enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Conversely, it’s also not surprising that several players have had careers that have been ‘flat out’ disappointing.
The players about whom we talked in this iteration of our discussion may or may not be the players you would have put on this list; that’s OK. The beautiful part about compiling any list is that there are multiple avenues down which you could venture to complete your list.
The Steelers have a long and storied history and are a proud franchise. We are proud of our 6 Super Bowl victories, we are proud of the plethora of players who have been voted to Pro Bowls, who have been named All-Pro and whose legacies will be forever remembered as members of the Hall of Fame.
The flip side to having a long history and to being a storied franchise this: Some players will be remembered more for what they did not accomplish as opposed to what they could have or perhaps should have accomplished. These players can be labeled as disappointments. The trick is to mitigate disappointment in the future as ‘the past is the past’.
