T.J. Watt

66 tackles, 16.0 sacks, 14 TFL, 34 QB hits, 6 FF, 2 FR, 1 INT

T.J. Watt has shown us no reason to believe that he won’t be one of the best defensive players in the league for a very long time. The 25-year-old has made major strides in each of his first three seasons. Last year, he finished as a candidate for the Defensive Player of the Year award.

In 2020, Watt will have some favorable matchups against right tackles. His inability to take plays off means that he should once again excel from a statistical standpoint. Though there is no guarantee that he will outproduce his 14.5 sacks from a season ago, he has the drive and determination to be the NFL’s sack leader this year.

With numbers like these, Watt would no doubt be on the radar for Defensive Player of the Year once again in 2020. He’s already proven to be the most dominant Steelers defender since Troy Polamalu, and he still has a long way to go. This could be the best season yet for T.J. Watt.
