Defensive tackle, New York Jets

This is the one player I have been harping for all along. After being a longshot to get dealt earlier in the season, it has now been reported that the New York Jets are willing to deal Quinnen Williams before the November 3rd trade deadline.

Williams hasn’t quite been as dominant from the gate as many have expected him to be, but then again, he is on perhaps the worst team in all of football. What we do know is that this kid had phenomenal production, traits, and testing numbers entering the 2019 NFL Draft – which is part of the reason why he was selected with the 3rd overall pick.

Though the Jets have a reputation of ruining young talent, the Steelers have a reputation for coaching up players to the best of their ability. Defensive tackle is arguably the best position on the entire roster currently for Pittsburgh, but when you get a chance to nab a talent like Williams for a fraction of what he is worth, you do it. At just 22 years old, Williams could develop into yet another star defensive lineman who could be a force on the Steelers for years to come.

Apart from last year, the Steelers usually aren’t very aggressive near the NFL trade deadline, and it’s probably safe to assume that they will not be making another blockbuster move this year. However, if they do, these five players could be among their best options.
