Jack Lambert

This one should be no shocker to any fans looking at this list. Jack Lambert helped exemplify what it means to be a Pittsburgh Steeler. He was the absolute mug shot depiction of what it means to carry that mantle with you. It is tough and hard-fought football when you come and play the Steelers, no matter what the team looks like and what year it is. The opposition is going to be in for a fight and it is not going to be pretty. Expect a bar fight when you come into the stadium or you’re going to get hit in the mouth.

Lambert personified this and was the definition of this football team and what the Steel City means to its fans. He was one of the top players on the Steel Curtain defense and that just goes to show you how amazing of a player Lambert was throughout his long career.

Jack Lambert put up amazing numbers that led him to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. He started 138 games and totaled 1,479 tackles, 28 interceptions, 23.5 sacks, 17 fumble recoveries, nine Pro Bowls, six-time First-team All-Pro, NFL Defensive Player of the Year, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, NFL 1970 and 1980 All-Decade teams, NFL 100 All-Time team, four Super Bowl Championships, and NFL Hall of Famer.
