Defensive player: Stephon Tuitt

Outside of T.J. Watt nobody has been better on Pittsburgh’s stellar defense than Stephon Tuitt. After a really impressive start to the 2019 season, Tuitt saw his year-end early in Week 6 as he suffered a torn pectoral muscles. Clearly, he has made a full recovery.

In 2020, Tuitt has compiled 29 tackles, 6.0 sacks, 7 tackles for a loss, and 17 quarterback hits at the halfway point of the season, according to Pro Football Reference. He is easily on the best pace of his career, and his presence has been felt in practically every game this season. Tuitt has had between 0.5-2.0 sacks in five games this season, and with just one more sack in the final 8 games, he will surpass his career-high.

The problem with Tuitt has always been his ability to stay on the football field. The big defensive lineman hasn’t played a full season since his rookie year back in 2014. As good as Cameron Heyward and Tyson Alualu have been this season, Tuitt has been even better. still just 27 years old, he could be a force on the Steelers for years to come.
