3 winners and 4 losers from Steelers 26-15 loss vs. Bills

Losers: Ben Roethlisberger
The biggest loser on the night was Ben Roethlisberger, as his woes mixed in with the sluggish offense were brutal to watch. It is becoming increasingly clear that he is part of the issue. While there is a bevy of problems on offense, it doesn’t help that your starting quarterback is playing such a timid game.
Roethlisberger’s long ball has been an issue all season, but even his short passes were not hitting the mark. The pick-six he threw was horribly behind Smith-Schuster, and it cost the Steelers in the end. No, it doesn’t help that the receivers are dropping passes and that the team can’t run, but his faults have certainly become an issue with this team. When the offense is dedicated to working around him, Roethlisberger needs to be playing better.
This doesn’t mean that the team needs to consider benching Roethlisberger, as he is clearly the best option on this team, but it does add some concern to his long-term outlook. He needs to get his mojo back and soon, as the Steelers’ chances of a deep playoff run are on him at this point. He doesn’t need to be elite by any means, but he needs to play closer to how he was early in the season, where he was at least making the short and intermediate passing game work.
It was a hard game to watch on Sunday, as the Steelers once again struggled to get their offense going. While this week’s matchup with the Bengals poises an easier game, there are some serious concerns for the former unbeaten team. This offense needs to get itself off the losers list if they want to have a shot at the Super Bowl.
