Joe Haden

Joe Haden was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns coming out of Florida. He was arguably their best defensive player during his entire tenure there. After years of making Pro Bowls and being one of the best at his position, the Browns did what they normally do: Cut talent. They released the veteran corner thinking his career was coming to an end. The Steelers thought differently and signed the player and he has made an immediate impact. He is a shutdown corner and still one of the better defensive backs in the league.

Pittsburgh has been so happy with the move since signing Haden. It has paid off for both sides as he contributes to a top-three defense every week. The fans love the player as he is dependable and just an all-around great person.

Joe Haden has now played about 4 seasons with the Black and Gold. He has put up impressive numbers for a guy that was supposed to be washed up. His stats with Pittsburgh have been thoroughly impressive over this time, despite playing into his early 30s. Haden may not have much longer with the team as his salary is set to skyrocket next season, but he has been one of their best free-agent signings in recent memory.
