Asante Samuel, Cornerback

Another Atlantic Coast Conference team, another defensive playmaker. Asante Samuel is easily one of the most impactful players on the Florida State defense. But nonetheless, he is expected by some to not be a first-round pick, implying that there is a good chance that Pittsburgh will have a decent opportunity to snag him off of the board. This is possibly a result of the Seminoles’ poor play in recent memory.

But regardless of the aforementioned issues with FSU’s performance, the university is still renowned for the talent that they unleash onto the NFL world, especially in the defensive back department, with big names including but not limited to Jalen Ramsey and Xavier Rhodes.

And most Steelers fans would agree that while the current defensive back unit in Pittsburgh is both very strong and very capable of doing their job just fine, it is still the squad that needs the most “help” on that side of the ball.

In short, all that I ask of the Steelers is to keep doing what they are doing right now, and that is to rely predominantly on a passing offense and to have a heavy defense for shutting down any competition that stands in their way to greatness. Because if my eyes are not deceiving me, it seems like that strategy has done them wonderful things so far, so there is no need in letting off of the gas one bit.
