“Joe Greene” Rookie of the Year: Najee Harris

Chase Claypool won the award last season and it seems primed to go to another offensive rookie this year. The Steelers focused heavily on the offense this past draft and Najee Harris was their first-round selection. He will be used all over this offense and that will give him a lot of touches and stats.

Harris has a ton of talent and expectations heading into his rookie year but the hype has followed this player everywhere. Ever since high school, this guy has been talked about highly both as a professional and as a personality. He will have an immediate impact on this offense in positive ways once he steps onto the football field.

This player can do it all as a running back. He can catch, find running lanes when they’re not present, and step in for pass protection when it is called upon. There doesn’t seem like much competition for Harris when it comes to him winning this award following the season. Others that could be in consideration include Kendrick Green (center) and Pat Freiermuth (tight end). Harris will have the biggest impact among this rookie group so this is his award to lose as we enter the season.
