Antonio Brown, Wide Receiver

Antonio Brown was the best receiver in the NFL for a very long time. He was primed to become a Hall of Famer and an immortal Steelers legend but he threw that all away. He could still get the call to the Hall of Fame one day and maybe make amends with Pittsburgh but that will take some time.

This player went from being known as the best receiver in the NFL to being known for throwing a hissy fit because of a blow to his ego. Many people already know the story so it will not be repeated here but because of his issue with other teammates, Brown requested a trade. It saw him go from the black and gold to the silver and black of the Oakland Raiders.

Brown’s stint with the Raiders only lasted a few months before he was released and signed with the New England Patriots. Some legal issues came up against Brown and he would be again released. He would go on without a team and adding a suspension the following season.

Eventually, after all his mental and legal concerns, Brown would, unfortunately, be rewarded with a Super Bowl championship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He could care less about that as long as he is thrown the ball and making plays is the only thing on the mind of this player. The attention is what he seeks and not always in a good way. Mental health struggles are a serious issue and Brown has them. Hopefully, he is working on that and can get that resolved.

The Steelers have had many issues over the last decade or so with their players. They have many players that could be nominated for the Hall of Shame despite their success on the field.
