Dud: OC Matt Canada

The Pittsburgh Steelers offense stinks, the play designs were not working unless the offense was doing hurry up. This offense can’t do anything. Pittsburgh can’t run, the pass is not working. A halfback wheel route, when you are 4th and long and you are down 14 points? In what universe does that even present itself as an option?

It doesn’t matter if the wide receivers were banged up. That was an awful, awful play call. Also asking your aging quarterback to put the ball up near 60 times is a recipe for disaster.

Dud: QB Ben Roethlisberger

Ben Roethlisberger came into the game with a pectoral injury, and that may be to blame for some of his struggles today. For most of the afternoon, however, Ben Roethlisberger was completely outplayed by Joe Burrow. The offensive line for the Pittsburgh Steelers is playing terribly at the moment, it’s also on the aging quarterback to get the football out of his hands.

A couple of the sacks that Ben Roethlisberger took against the Bengals were on him, and he needs to accept he’s no longer playing behind the vaunted offensive line he once did. He needs to throw the football away when the opportunity presents itself. The sack that he took outside of the tackle box was especially ugly and put a struggling offense in an uphill position.
