5. Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams were my preseason Super Bowl pick this year, and they haven’t given me a reason to think they can’t be the team to win it all this year. Though they did lose to the Cardinals by 17 points in Week 3, the Rams have bounced back with two straight wins — their most recent a 38-11 pounding over the Giants. This 5-1 team should win their next two easily against the Lions and Texans.

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another 5-1 team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are picking up right where they left off last season. While Tom Brady’s team has had a relatively easy schedule, this year, they’ve easily taken care of business against inferior opponents; however, last week’s game against the Eagles was a little closer than they would have liked it to be. With a good offense and defense, this team remains near the top of my NFL power rankings.

3. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are steadily rising in the power rankings this year. Not only do they have the league’s top offense right now, but their defense is far better than anyone could have envisioned. Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs have given this team a sizable boost this year. With Dak Prescott playing at an MVP level, the Cowboys are legit contenders in 2021.

2. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills were my number one team at this time last week, but after losing a nail-bitter in the closing seconds to the Tennesse Titans, I have the Bills falling just one spot on my NFL power rankings. Still, the Bills have the 2nd ranked offense and 1st ranked defense in terms of points per game, and Josh Allen is good enough to beat anyone at any time.

1. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals rise from the 2nd to the 1st spot in my Week 7 NFL power rankings. Kyler Murray has been terrific this year for one of the league’s most high-powered offenses, while their defense ranks just behind Buffalo. While the Bills have a better point differential, the strength of Arizona’s schedule has been tougher, and they recently blew out a quality opponent in the Cleveland Browns.

With some teams entering a bye week, others will have a chance to climb in the NFL power rankings before Week 8. It will be interesting to see if there are any big shifts after this week.
