Steelers get their sack back

The Steelers had their legendary sack streak come to an end when the Bengals beat them earlier this season. With improved line play (which isn’t saying much considering just how bad their line was in previous years) and an injured T.J. Watt, the Bengals held back the pass rush in their earlier meeting.

This week is different, as the Steelers front seven is healthier than it was before. Add in the potential of getting Davis in to plug the middle of the line and this group could see even better play than before. On top of everything, Alex Highsmith has really heated up as a pass rusher as of late, making this front seven that much better. With all of this considered and considering just how bad the Bengals’ right side of their line is, I think this team gets their sack back.

In total, the Steelers sack Joe Burrow six times in this game. Watt and Highsmith get two each while Cameron Heyward and Davis get one apiece. While Burrow still gets some big plays in through the air, he is pressured consistently by this improved and healthy front seven. They make up for the lack of sacks in the previous matchup.

The Steelers are looking to get back in the win column after coming up just short in week 11. The Bengals, meanwhile, will look to get the spark back that they had earlier in the year. The game should be a good one no matter what. Keep these bold predictions in mind as Pittsburgh plays their division rival in week 12.
