Primanti Brothers

It would be a catchy name considering they offered to change their name to Watt’s Brothers if the Steelers had signed J.J. Watt. It’s hard to imagine them throwing out anywhere between $25-50 million dollars or more for naming rights.

Iron City

Again this one would be a no-brainer either if they are interested in putting their name on the stadium. Seriously what other beers are you going to during a Steelers game, Penguins game, or a Pirates game. Plus, they have made collectible cans with players from each of the Pittsburgh sports teams on them for decades.

Eat’n Park

One of the most iconic Pittsburgh restaurants is very similar to Dennys. Anyone who has lived in Pittsburgh has eaten there at least once. Though catchy, it’s doubtful they have deep enough pockets to pay what the naming rights would cost.

Hunts

Considering Heinz makes condiments someone had thrown out, Hunts should buy the naming rights so they can keep ketchup incorporated with entering the red zone. Have you ever eaten Hunts ketchup? Hopefully not! If we can’t keep Heinz, just keep looking for another sponsor.

Hershey’s

It’s a Pennsylvania-based company, though way outside the Pittsburgh area. Nonetheless, the Steelers could make worse choices for a name, and they have the funds to pay quite a bit to get their name on the stadium.

Will any of these potentials get the naming rights? Right now, there has not been much news of potential discussions. So it could be a while yet before we hear any news as to who’s name may go up. However, in the end, will it matter? As one fan said, “Heinz field will end up like Key Bank Pavillion…everyone will call it Heinz Field no matter the name, just like we all still say Star Lake Amphitheater.”
