Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

Aidan Hutchinson broke onto the scene in 2021 with a vengeance. He played opposite of other first-round hopeful, David Ojabo. They created a destructive duo during their big season at Michigan. Hutchinson is one of the biggest risers of this class after not many people knew about this player.

He could have had a breakout performance a season prior but he suffered a season-ending injury. That led to him coming back to college for another season to jump his draft stock again. He returned and was a big part of this Michigan team that launched into the college football playoffs.

Many are expecting him to be in the first overall pick conversation when the card is turned into the league. Hutchinson has all the talent in the world with a non-stop motor. He is going to be a great disrupter on defense for whichever team selects him.

The Steelers will have no shot at this player as many expect him to go in the top five picks for his worst-case scenario. The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the first overall pick for this draft but they might look to go for an offensive lineman. This player is the best overall prospect on many big boards as the draft process moves forward.

The Steelers have a ton of holes to fill on this team and depth at the edge position is an important fix to find. Some depth pieces showed some promise at the end of 2021 but the team will have to look in the draft.
