Steelers offensive prospect #10

The other, more notable receiver from Ole Miss, Dontario Drummond is a classic big slot type of weapon that will have plenty of limitations as a pro. He is extremely limited as an athlete, something that both his testing and his tape back up. That said, he can serve as a physical presence for an offense in a pinch.

Drummond worked well in the Ole Miss RPO offense. He would benefit from getting targeted on short passes and using his physicality and ability after the catch to gain some additional yards. He is limited on deep routes as he is forced to make contested catches due to his lack of speed, but for a short option out of the slot, teams could do worse.

Because of his limitations, he likely will be taken in the backend of the draft. If the Steelers target a more traditional deep threat early to play on the outside, they could double dip and land Drummond to be a slot option. His lack of speed limits his potential, but he could be a fine physical option in an offense. With the team so tuned into Ole Miss, landing one of their receivers would make sense.
