Steelers defensive prospect #7

Lewis Cine is an intriguing fit for the Steelers at safety, as he is coming from the Georgia defensive pipeline. As already stated in full, the team was all over Georgia, as they sent all of their top names to watch these prospects run drills. Cine was another name in this talented defense that could slot in for this defense if needed.

Cine excels in coverage in both man and zone in the short and intermediate part of the field. The deeper he plays, the worse off he is. As well, he isn’t an amazing box safety either, as his physicality isn’t always where it needs to be. He has limitations as both a free and strong safety, which makes him a developmental prospect, to say the least.

Why he can’t be ranked any higher than this is because of his mixed rankings from the draft community. Some people have him ranked in the late first-round while other notable names like Gil Brandt has him in the third round. A first-round pick may be too steep for him, but landing him in the second or third round makes him a much more realistic prospect.
