Steelers defensive prospect #4

A name that has gained a lot of buzz as of late is Georgia linebacker Quay Walker. Despite only starting for one season, Walker has flashed some elite traits and skills that could make him a good starting linebacker in the league. He is an uber-athlete and possesses good instincts to make plays all over the field.

Walker was a dependable linebacker for the Bulldogs last season. His speed was evident in his coverage game while his size and sound tackling made him a force against the run. While he is a very well-rounded prospect, he lacks the splash you may want out of the position. Walker will likely never be a huge turnover machine, but he can be a dependable starter once he develops completely.

Considering he played at Georgia, he has naturally seen a bunch of Steelers attention as they were all over that pro day. Add in the fact that the team is having him in for a pre-draft visit and the interest between the team seems clear. Walker would likely cost the team their second-round pick, which may be a little steep. That said, he would be a good fit in this defense and has the chance to develop into a really sound starter.
