Games the Steelers won scoring all their points in the 4th quarter

Even though Big Ben has always excelled in the 4th quarter, with numerous 4th quarter comebacks and game-winning drives, only one game occurred in which they scored all of their points in the 4th quarter.

In total, like the second quarter, the Steelers have eight games in which all of their scoring occurred in the final quarter. Plus, three victories were on the road, and four occurred at home.

In the games, they only scored points in the fourth quarter; most of the games all occurred between 1946 and 1968. However, whereas the Steelers did it three times against the Bengals between the 2nd and 3rd quarters in the 4th quarter, the Steelers pulled off the feat the Steelers did it five times combined between Philadelphia and Washington. Both times at Washington, they won. Once in 1951, 14-13, and again in 1953, 20-10. Consequently, the 1953 game is the most scored points when all of their scores came in one quarter.

Then they did it three times at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. Once in 1946 10-7, 1968 they won again 6-3, and in 1994 they won 14-3. Their final road game was against the Saints, winning in 1967 14-10.

In 1994 they accomplished the feat for a second time against Tampa Bay, as they did it once in the first quarter against them in 2002. The last such fourth-quarter game to occur happened in 2007. In this game, perhaps very lackluster Ben Roethlisberger had a 79.6 quarterback rating going 18-21 with five sacks.

Miami quarterback John Beck had a 76.7 rating going 14-23 with four sacks. The lone score was a Jeff Reed field goal with only 17 seconds left in the game. Odder, this was a Monday night game, and both games came against Florida teams.

For the last 18 years, we normally relied on Ben Roethlisberger to light up the scoreboard anytime he stepped on the field. However, as we can see, that has not always been the case, and on more than a few occasions, the Steelers only managed scores in one quarter.
