9. John Stallworth was a big part of the Steelers 1974 draft class

John Stallworth was one of the best receivers in franchise history. He played during a different era that just started to see a glimpse of the new style of passing attack entering the game of football. He was laser fast and coupled that with his size created for big mismatches for the opposing teams trying to cover him.

This player does not get enough credit that he deserves. He is a very humble and quiet person that was on a team full of vocal leaders. He got overshadowed by the likes of Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, and others at times, but people need to respect what Stallworth did in his career.

The Steelers took him in the fourth round of the 1974 draft. He was one of the best selections in that class, despite it including four other Hall of Famers. He was able to help the Pittsburgh offense take things to another level that it lacked before.

Many remember Lynn Swann for his dynamic and acrobatic catches during big games, and for good reason. Many forget though how much more consistent and important that Stallworth was for this club. He helped create a more dynamic offense that allowed for Terry Bradshaw to take deep shots down the field.
