Steelers keep Mason Rudolph off the final roster

Quarterback (3): Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett, Chris Oladokun/free agent

The first big shocker on this prediction has Mason Rudolph left off the final 53. This is more of a prediction based on a recent report that Rudolph will want to be taken off the team if he cannot win a starting job here. That does not seem like a real possibility of happening so he could be let go or traded when the story is officially written.

He will not only be auditioning for the Steelers job but for other places around the NFL as well. Mitch Trubisky is currently on his way to start, at least at the beginning of the year, for the club. Kenny Pickett is the future and should also be on his way to starting games sometime soon.

The last spot at quarterback is where things could potentially get interesting. Rudolph would be a solid third option as he does have starting experience and kept this club in games during most of his starts. With him potentially being gone, would the team keep Chris Oladokun?

Crazier scenarios have played out before, but it seems like the club might look for another veteran that could become available by another team after initial cuts are made. Josh Dobbs would make a lot of sense if he does not make the Cleveland Browns roster.
