Three straight 30-point games by Steelers offense

Mason Rudolph's performance will be a huge storyline in this game but don't forget about the offense as a whole. The Steelers are coming off back-to-back 30-point games for the first time since Weeks 5 and 6 of the 2020 season. But if they somehow manage to do this three times in a row, it will be the first time accomplished such a feat since 2015, according to Pro Football Reference.

If you recall, that was back when this team had a prime Ben Roethlisberger, a trio of Pro Bowl offensive linemen, and electrifying skill players like Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell, and Martavis Bryant. While this current Steelers offense isn't fooling anyone into thinking it's comparable to what it was in 2015, it shows you just how impressive it is to have a stretch like this.

This doesn't guarantee Pittsburgh's success in the future. They could come crashing back down to earth if they make it to the playoffs or early in the 2024 season. However, it might mean that the combination of Eddie Faulkner and Mike Sullivan knows what they are doing as co-offensive coordinators and that this team is trending in the right direction.

I still want the Steelers to do their due diligence and explore QB and OC upgrade options next season, but this offense is getting hot at the right time. If they are able to manage their third straight 30-point game, it will be the first time they have done so in eight years.
