Who are you afraid of?

The ESPN AFC North writers are at it again and this time the question Jeremy Fowler has for the gang is which Steelers defensive player strikes the most fear in the hearts of the AFC North opponents? The resounding answer was James Harrison. Even at 37 Harrison is still the most feared member of the Steelers defense.

It’s probably the 1,000 pounds of weights that he lifts on a daily basis. Pat McManamon for the Browns said that Harrison is the likeliest candidate but also added that Cameron Heyward is proving himself to be a viable feared figure for the Steelers defense. Playing the end on the 3-4 defense and still getting 7 ½ sacks last season will do that.

NFL Head Coach Power Rankings

NFL Media Analyst Elliot Harrison ranked the NFL head coaches in his power rankings and naturally Bill Belichick came in first place. He’d probably have to be caught cheating while kicking puppies and stealing money from old people for the NFL media to finally turn on him.

Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin came in sixth overall and this is what Harrison had to say about him:

"“Some might feel Tomlin should not rate this high. But who else are you going to put above him? He’s never suffered a losing campaign, and he’s been to two Super Bowls in his eight seasons on the job, winning on in his second year. Many thought the Steelers would be headed back to the big game – or at least making a deep run into the playoffs – before Le’Veon Bell went down in Week 17. All in all, it’s been a nice run for the third man to fill this role since 1969.”"

Get to know Boyd

An intriguing addition to the roster this offseason has been quarterback Tajh Boyd. Boyd was drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the New York Jets out of Clemson. Teresa Varley gives us some more insight into the quarterback that might take Landry Jones’ spot on the roster.

He said his football inspiration growing up was Michael Vick and as he grew into the position he took things from different guys. He liked the way Tom Brady handles himself in the pocket and likes Ben Roethlisberger’s improvisational skills.

Boyd has got a lot of respect for the Steelers organization and when asked what the first thing to come to his mind when he hears “Steelers football” he responded,

"“Class. First class. There is a reason there have only been three head coaches in the last how many years. It’s because of the standard here. When I first met Mr. (Kevin) Colbert and Coach Tomlin, I understood the standard is being the best. There is no such thing as settling for less. When we step on the field there is one mentality, and that is to win championships. Not just the division or conference, but to win the whole thing. That is what separates them from all the other organizations.” – Tajh Boyd"
