The Steelers return to practice this week from the bye in time to prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks on the road.

While they return to practice from their bye week we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Saturday, Nov. 28th.

Roster Move

The Steelers made a roster move on Friday afternoon when they released running back Isaiah Pead and promoted running back Fitzgerald Toussaint from the practice squad. Toussaint was signed to the Steelers’ practice squad on Sept. 7th after spending last season as an undrafted rookie free agent for the Baltimore Ravens.

Pead was signed earlier this month after being cut by the St. Louis Rams following the loss of Le’Veon Bell for the season with his knee injury. Pead never dressed for a game with the Steelers.

Another tight end to worry about

The Steelers have had plenty of issues with tight ends this season and unfortunately they’re going up against one of the best on Sunday when they take on Jimmy Graham and the Seattle Seahawks. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reminds us how the Steelers defense ranks in the top 10 in the league with 28 sacks and also ranks high with points allowed but their average of 278 passing yards given up per game might come back to haunt them.

Another mobile quarterback

Steelers second-year linebacker Ryan Shazier had his best game of his career against the San Francisco 49ers. The PPG’s Ray Fittipaldo reminds us that the Steelers are going up against another mobile quarterback this Sunday when the Steelers travel to Seattle and face Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

The mobile quarterback puts more emphasis on the inside linebackers to make the stops which means it will be a big week for Lawrence Timmons and Ryan Shazier. Here’s hoping Shazier can re-create his Week 2 performance.
