The fantasy season is over so let us examine some of the Steelers’ fantasy all-stars.

The fantasy season is over and unless you are in a rather odd league that plays through week 17 you have finished happily in the top three or are already thinking about next season so let us examine some of the Steelers’ fantasy all-stars. Last week I touched on your Steelers keepers, citing Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, Ben Roethlisberger, and Martavis Bryant.

Looking at the two wide receivers you have sure-fire fantasy starters. Brown as he was this year will surely be a top ten fantasy draft pick. It is difficult to argue against him being the best in the game. In his last three seasons he is averaging over 1,600 yards receiving and ten touchdowns which is just incredible.

His partner Martavis Bryant had a quality season with just over 122 fantasy points in ten games (to this point). His average draft position was the middle of the fifth round in a standard twelve team league.

You can bet that will be significantly higher this year as he most probably will not have to serve a four game suspension. I see him available until the third or top of the forth round next year as his skill and big play ability make him a very solid WR2 on almost any team.

With Le’Veon Bell and Ben Roethlisberger there is more risk. Ben is aging and both players I would say at this time have the potential to miss time due to injury. Roethlisberger went quite high this season in fantasy drafts averaging the bottom of the fourth round which I think is too high.

I do not believe in drafting quarterbacks until later as the running back and receiver positions are so critical. Trends in fantasy drafting are mostly based off of the previous season so with Ben’s stats this year and almost five games missed, he will probably fall to rounds seven or eight which is a good place to grab him.

His health will always be a concern but he is at the top of his game and the offense will roll most weeks.

Le’Veon Bell’s status in general is more concerning. He is arguably the best all-purpose back in the league but has now suffered two major injuries to the same knee. I wish him a full and speedy recovery and love to watch him play but I would say the odds of a full comeback are steep.

That is simply coming from a skeptic. Assuming all goes great and he is designated as the starter next year he most probably will still be taken in the first round because of his talent. I probably am not taking him until the end of the second round should he fall.

In two keeper leagues I am holding Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant and Le’Veon Bell. My only concern there really is Bell due to the injury and I am far more concerned as a fan for his well-being and to be able to see him electrify the field once again.

You can find another back for your fantasy team or make sure you get DeAngelo Williams, but its not every day backs like Bell come along.
