Steelers season never truly ends for Steeler Nation so while the team starts to put in the work to prepare for the 2016 NFL season we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Wednesday, June 15th.

I just work here

Here’s a fun fact as the Steelers start the mandatory veteran minicamp; linebacker James Harrison (38) is just around ten months younger than his outside linebackers coach, Joey Porter (39). Harrison returns to the Steelers for his 14th NFL season in the hopes that they can reach the ultimate goal.

Mike Prisuta has Harrison’s comments about his willingness to contribute and how much he anticipates playing.

More from Steelers News

"“Everybody wants to start; who doesn’t? I’m going to do whatever it takes, whatever they want me to do. I’m just here to help. I just work here, baby.” – James Harrison"

If Harrison doesn’t see a lot of time on the field this year I certainly hope it’s because Jarvis Jones is on a terror. This is a tough one because for nostalgia and because he obviously can still do it I want to see Deebo out there menacing quarterbacks like he normally does but if he’s out there that means Jones is on the sidelines, not performing.

Can’t stop won’t stop

In 2015 the Steelers led the league in two-point conversion attempts (11), points (8) and had a success rate of 72.7 percent. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger thinks those numbers should increase in 2016, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Roethlisberger wants the team to go for two after every touchdown. I feel like somewhere off in the corner while Roethlisberger was giving these remarks to the media were Shaun Suisham and Chris Boswell giving him the stink eye. Still, I don’t see how you can argue with him on this.

They were pretty friggin good at it.

Let’s make a mega deal

If Steelers guard David DeCastro is the first in line for a new deal before the 2016 season kicks off in Washington then running back Le’Veon Bell is right behind him. According to Around the NFL Bell is projected to be a top-three running back this season, but we all know if he’s healthy he’ll be the top running back.

Bell will be a free agent after this season and even if he has had injuries they are not durability injuries as much as they are collision injuries so it would be costly to let him hit the open market.
