Steelers season never really ends for Steeler nation so while the Steelers players get their minds and bodies right to embark on the 2016 regular season we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Saturday, July 2nd.

Know the new guy

The Steelers signed offensive tackle Ryan Harris from the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos this offseason in part to compete with Alejandro Villanueva for the starting left tackle position left vacant by Kelvin Beachum.

The 9th year man out of Notre Dame told Teresa Varley all about his football inspirations, motivations and proudest moments. He also spoke about what he thinks about the city of Pittsburgh so far.

More from Steelers News

"“There’s a lot to like. Clearly the restaurant scene is something that is fun to go after and seek out. I like the guys here. It’s a blue-collar town. I’m from a blue-collar city in St. Paul, Minnesota. Everybody on this team is willing to work. I found that out already and that’s probably the best thing so far.” – Ryan Harris"

That’s the difference between a team and just a regular job. If you interviewed the new guy at an office job he’d probably say how Deb in Accounting looks at him inappropriately and Kevin in Marketing slacks off most of the day and watches YouTube videos.

Tomlin Time

While Ben Roethlisberger might finally be getting the credit he deserves as one of the top three quarterbacks in the league, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is also getting his credit for being one of the top five coaches in the NFL.

Elliot Harris ranks the NFL’s head coaches from 1-32 and the Steelers’ fearless leader ranks fourth behind Bill Belichick, Pete Carroll and Mike McCarthy. Tomlin’s regular season record of 92-52 gives him the third-highest win percentage among active coaches who have coached longer than five years.

All with Bill Cowher gone from the Steelers sidelines for just about ten years. Amazing.

If you’re in the mood for a heart attack

The NFL announced the winners of the games fans voted on to be released onto YouTube in their entirety this week. The Steelers games to be featured include Super Bowl XLIII, the 2008 AFC Championship game between the Ravens and Steelers and the Steelers vs. Colts AFC Divisional Playoff Game.

If you’d like to watch James Harrison returning the interception 100 yards for a touchdown or Santonio Holmes’ precise toe-drag catch to win the game you can on repeat. Or you can check out the five turnovers the Steelers forced against the Ravens to punch their ticket to their seventh Super Bowl appearance.

Next: Where do the Steelers stand defensively?

You can also give yourself a heart attack watching Jerome Bettis fumble the ball at the one-yard line but see Ben come up with the miraculous tackle to save the game. Just don’t let Kevin in Marketing catch you slacking off at work.
