While the team prepares to take on Washington on Monday Night Football to kick of the 2016 regular season we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Monday, Sept. 5th.

Squad up

The players released during Saturday’s roster cuts all cleared waivers allowing for the team to be able to select most of them for their practice squad.

More from Steelers News

The team announced the signing of the players to their practice squad on Sunday and they include running backs Brandon Brown-Dukes and Cameron Stingily as well as receivers Demarcus Ayers and Cobi Hamilton.

Defensive players like linebacker Travis Feeney and cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz were also added to the practice squad.

What makes AB so special?

The NFL Good Morning Football crew decided to tackle the question of what makes receiver Antonio Brown so special. Is it his fancy dance moves? His flashy cars? His changing hairstyles? His touchdown celebrations? His unwavering dedication to continuously improving himself?

It’s hard to point out just one thing. It’s a combination of everything that makes Brown the best receiver in the league and I don’t think there’s any reason to expect a dip in his production any time soon. Brown won’t stop until he sees his reflection in the Lombardi trophy.

Who wins the AFC Championship?

The NFL analysts combined to predict who they think will go all the way this season. Everyone weighed in and the two most popular picks were the Steelers or the Patriots.

Judy Battista says Pittsburgh will be the better offense over the Patriots while Gil Brandt takes the Patriots with the Tom Brady advantage. Maurice Jones-Drew thinks Pittsburgh will be more than surprising team Kansas City Chiefs can handle.

Former Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor mortally betrays us by saying the AFC Championship will be the Patriots coming out on top over the Houston Texans. Why you gotta play us like that, Ike?
