While the team game plans and gets ready to take the field in Washington we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Monday, Sept. 12th.

Now is the time

The PPG’s Ed Bouchette says it’s been time for the Steelers to win another Super Bowl already. Ben Roethlisberger is in his prime and the stage is set, even with the suspensions and injuries this is the time for them to win it all.

The schedule is favorable for them this year as they don’t travel very much and their most difficult games look to be played at home with New England, Dallas and Kansas City all coming to Heinz Field. Keeping Roethlisberger healthy is key so let’s friggin do this thing. Why not, right?

Mr. Harrison

James Harrison embarks on what could be his last season of his NFL career but it’s unfortunately his first season since losing his father earlier this year.

If it’s time for Ben Roethlisberger to win another Super Bowl then it’s overtime for James Harrison. It would be fitting to send Deebo out with another ring.

Disruptive secondary

The Steelers secondary is the group that could be the difference maker for the team this year. Last season they improved but still gave up a ton of yards and constantly got burned on the deep ball.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has cornerback Ross Cockrell’s comments on what the goal for the unit is this time around.

Next: Steelers players rising stock

"“We’re going to be as disruptive as possible.” – Ross Cockrell"

How guys like Justin Gilbert, Sean Davis, Artie Burns and Senquez Golson will figure into that goal this season is a mystery for now. We’ll certainly get some of that mystery uncovered tonight as they go up against DeSean Jackson and Jamison Crowder.
