Steelers News: Ramon Foster, Ben Roethlisberger, Playoffs
By Kim Myers
The Steelers are coming together at exactly the right time after a big win over the Giants at home.
While the team prepares for the final quarter of the regular season we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Saturday, Dec. 10th.
Of course they did
When Ramon Foster regulated and pulled Giants linebacker Kelvin Sheppard off of running back Le’Veon Bell‘s neck in last week’s 24-14 win over New York he saved Bell from a potential neck injury. He was also not flagged for the move that started a scuffle on the field.
Unfortunately, Foster didn’t escape the long arm of the law, the law of the NFL that is. Josh Alper of PFT says that Foster was fined $9,115 for saving Bell’s neck. To make matters worse Foster appears on the injury report as questionable with a chest injury.
If he can’t go on Sunday B.J. Finney will likely get the start at left guard.
Mic’d up
Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown were mic’d up for the win over the Giants. You can catch them in action courtesy of NFL Sound FX. They have the first half and second half each mic’d up. You’ll hear the point where the team got the safety as well as when Lawrence Timmons got the interception.
You also get to hear Ben Roethlisberger and AB link up between plays and eventually with the touchdown to go up 11-0.
You talking about playoffs?
Member last season when Pittsburgh was headed to the playoffs but totally blew a late game in Baltimore and ended up needing the help of the Buffalo Bills to clinch the Wild Card spot in the final weekend? You member.

Well the PPG’s Ed Bouchette is reminding those of us who don’t remember and also those of us who might think this game doesn’t have playoff implications. This game totally has playoff implications as this is the start of their final four games, all of which are AFC games.
The final three opponents are division opponents, so kind of important. No room for error here.
