My friends and fellow Citizens of the One and Only Nation, it is with a sad heart that I must announce my departure from NPC. Fear not. With any luck this will only be a brief time away.
Like many of you, the Pittsburgh Steelers are a very large and important part of my life. The months from the start of the NFL season until the Steelers’ last game are an emotional rollercoaster that I love climbing on every September. Like many of you, I count the hours between games. The work week is what I must endure for my reward every Sunday.
The months from February until September are the athletic equivalent of a black hole, sucking the life out of me with talk of hockey (which I love, but have no real access to watch); baseball (which does not really get important until football season has begun), and incessant prattling on about basketball (which I could not care less about),
Having said that, there are things more important than football. I have recently had a situation arise in my life that requires my full, undivided, and complete attention.
Rather than post half-hearted, poorly-written articles that are not up to the standard set by the rest of the NPC staff, Craig, Adam, and Brandt, I have asked for and graciously been granted a leave of absence while I deal with this life event.
Editor-in-chief Craig has been kind enough not only to allow me to write for this fine site, but has offered to hold my spot for me until such time that I can devote the kind of time and insight that you, the fine readers of this site, deserve and have come to expect.
I would like to extend my most heart-felt thanks to Craig. He is a fine editor and has earned my respect. (And I remembered my “More” tag this time, Craig!)
So, I leave you, dear Citizens, in the capable hands of Craig, Adam, and Brandt.
Until my next post, as always, GO STEELERS!
