Pittsburgh Steelers 2011 Free Agency
By Adam Meckler
5. S Ryan Mundy
Mundy recorded 11 tackles on Special Teams last season, where we saw the most productivity from him. He is still young and has a lot left in terms of his ability to play at a fast pace, and he fits in nicely at both Safety position filling in for both Ryan Clarke and Troy Polamalu. His role as a drop-in Safety is an important one, and I doubt the Steelers will let him go in Free Angency. He knows the playbook, and plays well enough as a backup that he is well-worth the likely $1.5 million he will be due in the new CBA.
Return in 2011: Very Likely
