NPC’s 2011 Fantasy Draft Guide: Quarterbacks
By Adam Meckler
Sleepers:
Donovan McNabb – McNabb is in a new scene over in Minnesota, but he has some offensive weapons that may help him succeed. We saw Brett Favre go in there and have an absolutely ridiculous first year with MN. They may or may not be the case here, but either way, McNabb could definitely be a sleeper. He could do some running for some TDs since he has totaled 3,341 yards on 587 carries and 28 touchdowns rushing in his career. His numbers were not good with the Redskins, but who could succeed in that system? The year before, Mcnabb threw for 23 TDs. His yardage has never been high each season, rounding out at around 3300 yards per, but that TD total would be nice in Fantasy.
Kyle Orton, Jay Cutler – I feel like these guys are identical QBs, so they’ll be talked about as one. Despite the fact that I think both these guys are little sissies, they belong on the list somewhere as well. They both average around 3700 yards per season over the last two seasons and they are both entering their 3rd season with their teams. Seriously, when the Bears and Broncos traded straight up for these guys, I was like “wait, why are they trading for the same guy?” But whatever. Cutler had a few more TDs each year than Orton, but the both hovered around the low 20s. They will put up some OK numbers
Joe Flacco – Do not draft Joe Flacco. This dude is terrible. No good will come of it.
