At the end of September, I put out a post and subsequent results commentary that had readers vote on who gets into the HOF in 2012 – Jerome Bettis, Dermontti Dawson, and Bill Cowher. Well that list just got a bit shorter after this afternoon.

This list will get paired down to 15 modern-era finalists in early January. There are only two senior finalists, so that won’t change between now and then. You can go here for the breakdown of all the semi-finalists statistically. Bettis still remains one of the ‘better’ guys in this entire group. I don’t see Big Tuna getting passed up this year, so he will probably be one of the 5 modern-era’s elected. Does Dawson get in? That ones a tougher call. Nobody could pull better than Dawson – but we’ll see what the selection committee thinks.
