As far as the roster is concerned, I am not surprised that the team took Heath Miller off of the PUP list.  The offense needs his presence as soon as possible, so it is worth the risky gambit to carry him on the 53-man roster.  The single “PUP active for return” tag appears to either be waiting for Matt Spaeth or Le’Veon Bell, and the Steelers appear comfortable to use Michael Palmer on a special teams role early in the season.  Kudos must go to the likes of Palmer, Felix Jones, Drew Butler, Kion Wilson, Chris Carter, Hebron Fangupo, Isaiah Green, and David Johnson for holding off their competition to earn spots at hotly contested positions on Pittsburgh’s 53-man roster as well.
