It’s probably been a wild ride over the last few days, but I am sure that Isaiah Green is glad to be back in Pittsburgh.

Green spent the weekend on Pittsburgh’s 53-man roster after he beat out Josh Victorian and 2013 fifth round pick Terry Hawthorne for the fifth and final cornerback spot.  Unfortunately for the former Fresno State Bulldog, his time on the 53-man roster was short-lived.  On Monday, Green was released to make room for the recently-signed special teamer/cornerback Antwon Blake.

Thankfully for Green, he was re-signed by the Steelers to their practice squad earlier today according to a recent tweet by Bob Labriola of Steelers Digest.  To re-sign Green though, Pittsburgh had to release cornerback Devin Smith from their practice squad.

Overall, the Steelers currently have a total of six cornerbacks at their disposal with Ike Taylor, Cortez Allen, William Gay, Curtis Brown, and Blake on the 53-man roster, and Green now on their practice squad.
