Le’Veon Bell Staying Positive, Practices For the First Time

In a season already filled with so much “doom,” “gloom,” and “Negative Nancy” attitudes, the Steelers received some great news yesterday regarding the health of Le’Veon Bell.
According to Teresa Varley of the team’s website, Pittsburgh’s rookie running back practiced with the team for the first time during the regular season. From what Bell said in the article, it looks like the rookie is working his way back from the foot injury he sustained during the team’s second preseason game:
"I did a lot of individual work, a little bit of cutting, catching the ball again…just moving, … The little things I haven’t been able to do the last few weeks. It felt good to be out there."
In addition to the news of him practicing, Bell also shared how positive his attitude is about working himself back into the lineup and eventually helping his team:
"It’s tough being 0-2, especially watching and knowing I could contribute if I was healthy. I have to take it day-by-day. I can’t rush it. Once I get in there I am going to give everybody all I’ve got and go from there."
How long it will take for Bell to reenter Pittsburgh’s lineup is still up for debate. What is not however is that the young running back is hungry to return to his team and help them in their most dire hour of need.
How much of an immediate impact that Bell can make when he finally come back might also remain a question. Yet it is not like his return can do anything except bolster what the team has on the depth chart in the present.
