Inactives For Tonight’s Steelers vs. Bears Game

According to the Steelers’ official website, here are the lists of the inactive players for tonight’s game:
Pittsburgh Steelers
QB Landry Jones
WR Derek Moye
RB Le’Veon Bell
OL Cody Wallace
CB Isaiah Green
CB Cortez Allen
NT Hebron Fangupo
Chicago Bears
RB Michael Ford
WR Marquess Wilson
OT Jonathan Scott
OG James Brown
CB C.J. Wilson
DE David Bass
DT Zach Minter
The biggest positive about these two lists for Pittsburgh is the fact that Heath Miller will be active for tonight’s game. While I am not sure how much the two-time “Pro Bowler” will play, his presence alone should be a huge plus for the Steelers’ struggling offense. Miller being active was probably the biggest reason why Derek Moye is inactive tonight.
Why they would not activate Moye over David Johnson or David Paulson is a bit baffling considering neither player can provide the type of presence in the red zone that the 6’5″ Moye can. Then again, Todd Haley has been pretty inept when it has come to tailoring his offensive strategy to the talent on his roster.
The absence of Cortez Allen will be a big loss for Pittsburgh’s defense as well. Hopefully William Gay, Shamarko Thomas, and Robert Golden can step up in his place and keep Martellus Bennett and Chicago’s backup receivers under-wraps tonight.
