Many were encouraged by the news that Le’Veon Bell practiced with the Steelers for much of last week. Despite the fact that the rookie running back did not participate in Pittsburgh’s game last weekend against the Bears, it looks like the former Michigan State Spartan will play on Sunday in London against the Vikings according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer:
Jonathan Dwyer and Felix Jones combined to rush for 73 yards during Pittsburgh’s Week Three loss, and the addition of the rookie to the backfield should only serve to boost the team’s inconsistent running game at such a crucial juncture of the 2013 regular season.
How much the Steelers plan to use their most recent second round pick, especially after he sprained his foot close to six weeks ago, against the Vikings will be something intriguing to follow over the course of the next few days. I do think that I can speak for almost everybody in “Steeler Nation” when I say that Bell’s return provides some positive news for a team in desperate need of some.
