I recently shared my thoughts on the following tweet published by Ramon Foster after Pittsburgh’s loss against Chicago dropped them to 0-3:

In my post, I discussed how it was promising to see the most veteran member of Pittsburgh’s offensive line displeased by the unit’s collective performance.  Moreover, I mentioned how it would benefit the Steelers and Foster as a whole if the former Tennessee Volunteer took a bigger leadership role on the offensive side of the ball.

Well I guess that Pittsburgh’s head coach Mike Tomlin feels the same way as I do about Foster, because Tomlin reportedly did the following according to a recent tweet by Bob Labriola of Steelers Digest:

Someone needs to get the Steelers’ talented yet inexperienced offensive linemen to realize their potential, and a veteran like their starting left guard could be just the player to push the youngsters in the right direction.

I for one am intrigued to see how much Foster can help the likes of David DeCastro, Mike Adams, Marcus Gilbert, and Kelvin Beachum.  Most of all however, it makes me happy to see that at least someone is actively trying to emerge as a leader for Pittsburgh’s younger players on the offensive side of the ball.
