It’s Game Day Steeler Nation! There’s been plenty of build up for a couple of winless teams playing each other. Here’s what’s being said about your Pittsburgh Steelers around the block and from across the pond:

Steelers party in London

The NFL threw a party for the fans in London on Saturday and a half a million people showed up. According to Teresa Varley of the Steelers website there were plenty of Steeler fans representing on Regent Street, which was closed down for the fan rally. Heath Miller was greeted by fans screaming, “Heeeeeeeath”.

A lot on the line for Steelers

Hopefully the Steelers don’t spend too much time partying it up with all the fans over in London that they forget what they’re there to do. Not likely that they would because the fact that both teams are 0-3 is mentioned about as much as the fact that the game is being played in London. But, as Ed Bouchette of the PPG reports; the Steelers know that there needs to be a sense of urgency with them as they try to avoid going 0-4. With a bye week following Sunday’s game and their next game against the Jets the Steelers could face the Baltimore Ravens at 2-3 and still be in the thick of things. Leave London at 0-4 and lots more will go wrong.

Steelers challenged with stopping AP

Scott Brown of ESPN reports that one way the Steelers can hope to achieve that goal of leaving London with their first victory of the year is if they are successful at stopping Adrian Peterson. Steelers safety Troy Polamalu understands just how hard of a task that could be.

"“He fights for every yard. That’s something a defensive player can really respect. We scratch and claw for every inch on defense. When you see somebody on offense that’s really doing that and not running out of bounds, you get a lot of respect from defensive players for that.” – Troy Polamalu"
