NPC’s Week 5 NFL Picks

Think you can pick winners better than the NPC staff?

The first quarter of the 2013 NFL Season is already in the books. Here at Nice Pick Cowher, we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly, but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.

It’s a Steelers bye week so we can all relax in the comfort of knowing we won’t watch a bunch of missed tackles, sloppy offensive line play, turnovers at crucial moments, and a disappointing loss. Unless you’re rooting for the Jaguars to win this week for some reason. There are definitely some interesting matchups this week to quench your football thirst while the Steelers are off. Kansas City will try to stay undefeated against the now hot Tennessee Titans. Seattle will travel to Indy to see if they can remain unbeaten as well. Andrew Luck isn’t likely to turn the ball over like Matt Schaub did though. The Dolphins will try to rebound from their Monday night loss when facing the Ravens at home. I’m sure they’re hoping Flacco will be just as generous with the ball as he was last week against Buffalo.

Congrats to Craig and myself for the win last week with 11 winners. I’m still holding onto the overall lead. That imaginary trophy will be mine this year, I can see it. Mostly because it’s in my imagination and it’s glorious. Our reader participant, Jenn, is a solid 30-33 overall after going 7-8 on her picks last week. Any other NPC readers care to challenge Jenn on some picks?

Feel free to make picks of your own in the comments section, or take the opportunity to heckle and criticize our opinions if that’s your deal. We’ll see if I stay on top or if someone else takes over the lead after Week 5 action is said and done. Make some picks or root for your favorite NPC staffer! Here we go Steelers!
