NPC’s Week 7 NFL Picks

Think you can pick winners better than the NPC staff?
We’ve reached Week 7 in the NFL Regular Season. Here at Nice Pick Cowher, we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly, but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just pride) where are mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
The Steelers finally got that losing monkey off of their backs and recorded their first win of the season last week against the Jets. If you were wondering, yes I did dance an Irish gig in celebration and you should feel bad you didn’t witness it because I’m an awesome dancer. This week it’s Ravens Week and while both teams are facing each other without winning records for the first time since 2002 we can still hope for a good old fashioned Steelers vs. Ravens showdown. There are tons of other divisional matchups this weekend including Seattle at Arizona, Tampa Bay at Atlanta, Buffalo at Miami, New England at New York (Jets), and Dallas at Philadelphia. Other than that all eyes are going to be on the return of Peyton Manning to Lucas Oil Stadium in a Denver Broncos uniform to see how many touchdowns he’s going to drop on his former team.
Like the Steelers I took the victory last week. I narrowly beat out my colleagues and unlike the Steelers; I have a firm grasp on the top overall spot. Dom is on an impressive streak of only getting 8 picks right each week so it will be interesting to see how long he can keep that going. Our reader participant, Jenn, went 9-6 last week to bring her to an even .500 so far. Still no one has stepped up to challenge Jenn.
