With the Pittsburgh Steelers’ most important game of the 2013 campaign only two days away, Scott Brown of ESPN.com and Jim Wexell of SteelCityInsider.net shared some injury news via Twitter this afternoon:

It’s a shame to see Spence missing practice, especially since he is finally healthy enough to do so for the first time since August of last year. I just hope that the finger injury does not shelve him for the rest of the year now that his knee is finally starting to come around from a health standpoint.

Although missing Wheaton and Gordon will hurt Pittsburgh’s depth at wide receiver and tight end, it is nevertheless positive to know that Brett Keisel, LaMarr Woodley, and Marcus Gilbert are all listed as “probable” for Sunday’s game.

The Steelers cannot afford to play without their best pass-rusher, their most experienced defensive end, and their starting right tackle against the Ravens this weekend, so it is definitely a good sign to see that all three guys participated in practice and are ready to go.

Jones seems to be a “wild card” of sorts for this weekend’s game, but having him in the lineup would be huge plus for Pittsburgh’s defense. While he still has concussion tests to pass, the rookie would definitely help to supplement pocket-collapse off of the edges against the Ravens’ suspect offensive line.
