NPC’s Week 8 NFL Picks

Think you can pick winners better than the NPC staff?
We’ve reached Week 8 in the NFL Regular Season. Here at Nice Pick Cowher, we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly, but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just pride) where are mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
The Steelers have begun to start stacking victories and Steeler Nation can only hope this trend keeps on going as they travel to Oakland this Sunday. Obviously the Steelers would like to emerge victorious, which is not as easy as it sounds because Oakland has been a tough spot for the Steelers in recent years. There are some divisional matchups to look forward to this week, although the Thursday night game between the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Bucs will probably be pretty friggin boring considering the Thursday night games have a track record of being horrible to watch. Miami will try to rebound after last Sunday’s crushing loss to Buffalo against another divisional foe in New England. The Giants will try to improve to two wins if they can outlast the Chip Kelly Eagles offense with Michael Vick back under center. Green Bay will most likely be destroying Minnesota and Seattle is going to beat up on the Sam Bradford-less Rams.
While congratulations must go to Scott for sealing the victory last week, I am starting to separate myself from the pack with the overall lead. Hopefully I don’t start to tank again like I did last season. Our reader participant, Jenn, went 9-6 again last week, still not challenged by anyone but she did outpick three NPC staffers last week so good for Jenn!
