NPC’s Week 15 NFL Picks

Think you can pick winners better than the NPC staff?
Only three weeks remain in the 2013 NFL Regular Season. Here at Nice Pick Cowher, we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly, but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
The Steelers were literally inches away from further cementing their spot in the playoff race this season but fell short against Miami. Things aren’t mathematically impossible right now as far as their playoff chances, but they’re about as bleak as you can get. The Steelers have a Sunday Night Football matchup against Cincinnati, who are trying to secure the AFC North Division title.
Denver gets their turn at the short-week schedule facing San Diego on Thursday night. Will Peyton continue to force his cold-weather critics to “shove it”? I think he’s only really going to silence those critics with a masterful cold-weather win…in the playoffs. Statistically, he’s not been good in cold weather, narratives or not, but he’s also had his share of big-game…um…difficulties. Win a big playoff game in the cold and you can really tell people to shove it. Other divisional action this weekend includes Houston and Indianapolis, New England and Miami, and Kansas City and Oakland.
Last week the win went to Dom “Negative Nancy” DiTolla with a near perfect week aside from 2 games. Could Dom be making a late-season push for the title? Our reader participant, Jenn, had a respectable week with 10 wins and continues to be unchallenged by the rest of our readers. We’re going to have to think of a special imaginary trophy for Jenn.
