Steelers season goes all year long so whether we’re breaking down free agency signings, predicting the possible draft choices, or looking around for mentions of your Black & Gold we’ve got you covered. Here’s what’s being said about your Pittsburgh Steelers around the block.
Steelers draft by position mock
If you’re tired of draft coverage in lieu of the actual draft, you’re not alone. Seems these extra two weeks before the draft this year has resulted in so many mock drafts it will make your head spin. The fact that the actual decisions the teams will make from the #1 spot on down aren’t obviously clear at this stage of the game adds to that as well. ESPN’s Scott Brown has decided to take a different route with his latest mock, picking the positions he thinks the Steelers are likely to fill with their 9 picks next month. He predicts that the Steelers draft will end up netting the team 2 new cornerbacks, 2 defensive lineman, a wide receiver, linebacker, safety, offensive lineman, and running back.
Trial for Mike Adams stabbing begins Tuesday
Adam Brandolph of the Trib reports that the trial of the three men accused of stabbing Steelers offensive lineman Mike Adams last spring in the South Side begins on Tuesday morning. Lawyers for the defendants are claiming that Adams lied about the incident, and hope to provide details from his contract with the Steelers as evidence he would have incentive to lie to authorities on his role in the altercation. They’re claiming it was Adams that started the fight that finished with him being stabbed and that his contract is worded to protect the Steelers if he would get into any off-the-field incidents, providing him motive to lie as he would stand to lose millions if the Steelers cut him. It should be interesting to see how this episode of Law & Order: Steelers edition will play out. Dun dun!
Steelers offseason workouts begin
New Steelers wide receiver is excited to begin his new assignment with the Steelers on Tuesday when he can officially workout as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
